It has become a Spooky Season tradition for me to watch one horror film a day for the entire month of October leading up to Halloween. I pick out a theme of some sort, put together my list, and then embark on my quest. It all ends with me watching my three favorite movies that take place on Halloween: Trick ‘r Treat (2007), Halloween (1978), and Halloween (2018). I might add Halloween Kills (2021) to the list if it turns out to be good. We shall see. Last year’s theme was watching three horror films from every decade from the 1920s through the 2010s. It was a lot of fun watching the genre evolve over time. Without further ado, this year’s theme will be horror movie sub-genres! I’ll be watching three films from a specific sub-genre before moving on to the next.
